The Hobbit 3 latest news: The Hobbit 3 trailer most watched on YouTube for the third quarter of 2014, beating Hunger Games and 50 Shades of Grey
"One day they'll remember- remember everything that happened. The good, the bad, those who survived and those that did not."
Thus says Bilbo Baggins in the opening sequence of The Hobbit 3 trailer, which had 17.3 million views on YouTube, making it the most viewed entertainment-related content of the third quarter of 2014, beating equally anticipated rivals The Hunger Games: Mockingjay and 50 Shades of Grey.
The trailer is in preparation for The Hobbit 3 release date: the final installment of Peter Jackson's The Hobbit trilogy will be out in the US by December 17, 2014, just in time for the Holiday season.
Here's The Hobbit 3 synopsis, according to the movie's Facebook account:
"'The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies' brings to an epic conclusion the adventures of Bilbo Baggins, Thorin Oakenshield and the Company of Dwarves. Having reclaimed their homeland from the Dragon Smaug, the Company has unwittingly unleashed a deadly force into the world. Enraged, Smaug rains his fiery wrath down upon the defenseless men, women and children of Lake-town."
A new image released by Warner Brothers reveals a grimy and battle-tested Bilbo Baggins, giving fans a glimpse of exciting fight scenes the characters might be in for in The Hobbit 3.
The Hobbit: the Battle of the Five Armies cast will have familiar faces: Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins, Ian McKellen as Gandalf, and Richard Armitage as Thorin Oakenshield. Lee Pace and Orlando Bloom will also be back as the father and son Thranduil and Legolas.
The Hobbit films are based on the novel The Hobbit written by J.R.R. Tolkien in 1937. The first installment in the series, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, was released in 2012, followed by The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug in 2013. These movies earned a combined $2 billion in the global box office.
