Lords of the Fallen release date is October 28 in North America and October 30 in Europe. Developed by Deck 13 Interactive jointly with CI Games and published by Bandai Namco and Square Enix, the upcoming single-player role-playing hack-and-slash action video game will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows PC platforms. For those who want to get a glimpse of the Lords of the Fallen gameplay, there are already extensive Lords of the Fallen trailers and footage at the publisher's website, as well as on Gamespot, IGN, Game Trailers, PC Gamer, and other gaming review sites on the Internet. There are also Lords of the Fallen Youtube videos that have been uploaded to promote the soon-to-come RPG video game. The latest Lords of the Fallen gameplay trailer at the publisher's site comes complete with detailed explanations for some of the mechanics and other design choices for the benefit of the Lords of the Fallen fan community.
The Lords of the Fallen has been developed on the proprietary FLEDGE game engine which is capable of some specialized rendering. For this to work best, the game publisher's recommended Lords of the Fallen system requirements include a Windows Vista (SP 2), 7 or 8 OS; Intel Core i7-3770 @3.5 GHz or AMD FX-8350 X8 @ 4 GHz; at least 8 GB RAM; NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560Ti graphics processing unit; 25 GB of hard drive space; and DirectX 11. Lords of the Fallen on PS4 will run in 1080p while Lords of the Fallen on Xbox One will display in the slightly lower 900p resolution. Lords of the Fallen on Steam is now available for pre-purchase at $49.99. A pre-order for a Lords of the Fallen Collector's Edition for either PlayStation 4 or Xbox One is available on Amazon, both priced at $129.99. In an interview with IGN, executive producer and lead game developer Tomas Gop states: "We don't think of Lords of the Fallen as game that is unlike any experience gamers have had before. It's like all of the best experiences they've had before." For previews and more about the game, fans can visit IGN's Official Lords of the Fallen Wiki Guide.
The game's title refers to an evil god and its host of demons who was defeated and buried by humanity 1,000 years ago. This victory led humanity to pursue a belief that evil can be entirely eliminated. As a result, a religion of purity was born that harshly defines sin, banishes those who partake in evil activities, and marks them with tattoos for their transgressions. The Lords of the Fallen gameplay story begins when the demons begin to re-emerge. Humanity looks to Harkin, a human who has been tattooed more than any other. They believe he has the ability to defeat evil again because of his long history of sin. At game start, players can select whether Harkin will be rogue, cleric, or warrior to dictate the path of his spell trees.
