Destiny PC news and updates: Destiny has the Best launch video game software of all time; Will Bungie ever Release a Destiny PC version soon?
The Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4 consoles for Destiny was released last month and there are a lot of gamers who have been waiting for the Destiny PC version.
This is a hot topic right now within the gaming community as Bungie had mentioned that they might never release a Destiny PC version.
Activision's CEO of Publishing, Erik Hirshberg, had this to say: "It is [a good fit], and it's something we're talking about and looking at very carefully, and obviously it makes a lot of sense with the genre and the type of game it is," he mentioned during E3 this year. "You know, developing on PC is a different animal than developing for consoles and so we just want to make sure that we're putting one foot in front of the other and getting it right, and that it's of the highest possible quality. But obviously I see the same things about the natural fit."
Hirshberg added: "It's great to see the next gen hardware is off to such a strong start and both the Xbox One and PS4 are well ahead of where their predecessors were at this point ... but if you just woke up today and looked at where people are gaming, the majority of people are still on the legacy hardware."
Destiny is said to be 2014's Top New Game. NPD Group's latest monthly video game sales report also revealed that Destiny is the most successful launch of the year so far.
Liam Callahan from NPD Group said: "An even more prestigious feat was the fact that Destiny had the best launch month of all-time for any new IP in video game software."
It topped more than $500 million on its first day of sales, and had an astounding half-billion-dollar development and marketing budget. Therefore, Destiny was the best-selling game in September.
As with the Destiny PC version, we are just hoping that Bungie might be convinced to go ahead with the PC version release very very soon with all the numbers and accolades it is getting.
