'Far Cry 4' Release Date on Nov. 18; Ubisoft Launches Interactive Website for the Upcoming Game; DLC Pack Includes Additional Missions and Multiplayer Mode
After the success of the first-person shooting game's third installment, Ubisoft is yet to release the upcoming new chapter of the "Far Cry" franchise. Considered as an AAA video game, "Far Cry 4" is tipped for launch next month, IGN reported.
Developed by Crytek, the new series of the upcoming "Far Cry 4" is set to have a new setting and improvements compared to its predecessor, which was released last year. In order to give the anticipating fans more news and teasers, Ubisoft has recently released an official website for the game.
Franchise Herald said the web page features gameplay and the plot of the "Far Cry 4." The recently launched website showed the new setting for the video game, Himalayas which is described as a "mountainous paradise steeped in a tradition and violence."
In the upcoming "Far Cry 4," Ajay Ghale will be the main playable character that will lead a rebellion in the Himalayas against the King Pagan Min. The back story states that Ghale's mother, originally from the mountainous place, set a dying wish for her son to scatter her ashes in Himalayas. Little did Ghale know that his family has started a rebellion against the self appointed leader of Kyrat.
As the main character, player as Ghale will take the lead of the struggling rebels that are united in ousting Pagan Min but are not united in terms of their own leadership. The website cited that the gamers will "begin to make choices which will steer the Golden Path towards the liberation of Kyrat."
Ubisoft, the game's publisher, has also announced that "Far Cry 4" DLC pass will be available at $30, Game Spot reported. The additional pass will give the players of the open-world shooter more missions and a Multi-player mode. The missions that will feature Ghale fighting against Yeti's will be divided into five missions which include "The Syringe," "Escape from the Durgesh Prion," "Hurk Deluxe Pack," "Overrun," and "Valley of the Yetis."
In terms of pricing, "Far Cry 4" Gold Edition is available at $90. The pack includes the game and a DLC pass already. The upcoming "Far Cry 4" will be launch for PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3 and Playstation 4.
