Chvrches New Music Video 'Under the Tide' Released from 'The Bones of What You Believe', Watch Here (VIDEO)
Chvrches has released their latest music video for their song "Under the Tide" form their 2013 debut album The Bones of What You Believe. This track features Martin Doherty singing the lead vocals, which is the only song that Lauren Mayberry does not sing lead on from the album.
The video is directed by Sing J. Lee and blends trippy anime images with footage of band member Martin Doherty.
The Scottish electro-pop duo will have music on the newly reimagined Drive soundtrack, as well as the new Hunger Games soundtrack.
Chvrches formed in 2011 and the group consists of Lauren Mayberry (lead vocals, additional synthesisers, and samplers), Iain Cook (synthesisers, guitar, bass, vocals), and Martin Doherty (synthesisers, samplers, vocals).
Chvrches came fifth on the BBC's Sound of 2013 list of the most promising new music talent. In March 2013, they released Recover EP. Their debut studio album The Bones of What You Believe was released on 20 September 2013.
Their song "The Mother We Share" was featured in the opening video for the 2014 Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony in Glasgow, Scotland, on the 23rd July 2014.
Chvrches are touring Europe and Asia through the end of the year. See dates below.
