The 2014 Soul Train Awards was aired on BET on Sunday. The awards were to honor the biggest stars in the music industry. The night's biggest nominated artist was Chris Brown who had seven nominations. Beyonce was a close second, garnering six nods, while Pharrell was up for five awards.
Hosted by Wendy Williams, performances were by Brown, Aloe Blacc, Doug E. Fresh, Missy Elliott, Lil' Kim and Da Brat, and Jodeci to name a few.
A number of other big artists were up for awards, including John Legend, Drake, Usher, Janelle Monae, Jennifer Hudson, Trey Songz, Sam Smith, Jason Derulo, Michael Jackson and Justin Timberlake.
