Carroll McGruder, of the McGruders, Has Lymphoma

Carroll McGruder, of the McGruders, has been diagnosed as having lymphoma throughout his body. He has also been diagnosed with two broken vertebrae and a broken hip. Chemotherapy and radiation will begin immediately.
He, his wife Sharon and their children are so thankful for the prayers and outpouring of love to their family. We ask that you respect their privacy and Carroll's need to protect his immune system during this treatment process.
Carroll McGruder, Priscilla McGruder and Denny Autry are part of the Gospel music group the McGruders. For the past 15, the McGruders have gained recognition for their music ministry, which is founded in faith, fashioned by anointing, and fueled by spiritual fire.
From the farmlands of Indiana in the 70's through Idaho and on to Missouri, the McGruders goal has always remained the same "to lift up Jesus Christ through the message of the song."
Carroll McGruder is well known for his songwriting ability, although he openly admits he is not a "9 to 5" songwriter. For him each song has the same origin - INSPIRATION FROM GOD! "I am only a willing vessel", Carroll explains. His songs have been recorded by many Southern Gospel groups including The Cathedrals, The Florida Boys, The Hoppers and Gold City.
Priscilla is one of the most powerfully anointed people in music. Through that anointing she delivers her musical message pure and simple: with the fingerprint of the Holy Spirit all over it. When she walks the aisles of a concert or service she opens spiritual doors and builds bridges leading straight to Calvary. Her life of commitment to prayer is mirrored in her music.
Some of their best known songs include "I'm Going Home With Jesus", " Saved", " I've Just Started Living", "Thanks", " I Lean On You, Lord", "A Great Homecoming" and "Most of All".
The McGruders have never been shy about extending Southern Gospel Music to new venues. As a result, doors have opened allowing them to reach more and more people for the glory of God. Their ministry has taken them to many places including Branson, Missouri, where they lifted the name of Christ for two years. They have also performed at some of the largest festivities in North America including the National Quartet Convention, Spiritfest, and repeatedly at the International Convention for the United Pentecostal Church International among others
While this group has continued to reap recognition, they have had struggles in their private lives. From Carroll's encounter with lymphatic cancer (from which he was mightily healed) and Priscilla's recent diagnosis of breast cancer, to the daily struggles each of us face, their testimony remains the same: THEY LIVE BY FAITH AND STAND IN VICTORY.
