Jim Ed Brown's Funeral Details Announced

Country music legend Jim Ed Brown will be honored and remembered during a public funeral at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. The doors will open at 9:30 a.m. Monday with the funeral set for 10 a.m. Interment at Woodlawn will follow the funeral, and is also open to the public.
The interment, also open to the public, will be held immediately following the service, at Woodlawn Cemetery (600 Thompson Ln., Nashville). A private visitation for family and close friends is being held over the weekend.
Brown died of cancer Thursday in Franklin, Tennessee. He was 81. Brown died after a courageous battle with lung cancer. The 81-year-old announced his diagnosis last fall, and although he was declared cancer free in April, by June, the cancer had returned.
"If there's anything I can say to my fans at all - I've got a stack of get well cards at least a foot high here," Brown told The Boot earlier this year. "... I've got an awful lot of prayer warriors out there, and I know that God has got to be listening to them because He sure is helping me get through this, and if there was any way that I could thank them all, golly, I would, but I don't know how to do that. Just let them know that I still love them."
Brown is survived by his wife Becky, two children and five grandchildren. We extend our deepest prayers and condolences to his family.
