The Showers Releases New Single "Immediately" & Lands on Stellar Awards First Ballot

There aren't many groups in today's Gospel music landscape, let alone family groups. The Showers, an ensemble of six sisters and their lead-singing brother, add a refreshing punch to the Gospel music industry.
With this year's release of their self-titled national debut, The Showers have delighted airwaves, stages and churches around the country. Actually, the gifted siblings have been a formidable presence since the release of their first project in 2009. Without major distribution or backing, the group has amassed a Top-15 single ("Better") and appeared on such influential platforms as Bobby Jones Gospel, The Essence Music Festival and Sirius Satellite Radio.
The Showers are thrilled to have made the first round ballot for the 2016 Stellar Gospel Music Awards in the Traditional Group/Duo of the year category. This is a testament to their gifting and their tireless work ethic. The Showers also recently released their third single, "Immediately," which is getting great support at radio. BJ Murphy, program director at WAAW-FM in Aiken, South Carolina, says: "I really love this record! The Showers know how to put together a great song with a great message and melody!
"Immediately" is a universal praise and worship song that showcases this singing family's peerless vocal harmonies. Fellow national recording artist Paul Porter has seen the group many times, and says: "While traveling across the country singing and interacting with different artists, working with The Showers has always been a great experience. They are a family that is truly touching lives through song."
The self-titled album - "The Showers Family Group" - can be ordered now on all digital music outlets.
