John Anderson Releases New Single "Don't Forget to Thank the Lord"

Christmas is a time to be so overwhelmed by family activities and shopping that we forget the Lord. Country veteran and committed Christian John Anderson has released a new single "Don't Forget to Thank the Lord" as an apt reminder for us this Christmas!
"Don't Forget to Thank the Lord" is taken from Anderson's brand new album Goldmine. The song was co-written by Big and Rich's John Rich and Anderson himself. "Don't Forget to Thank the Lord" was inspired by Anderson's thankfulness for all of the opportunities that he's been given in his pursuit of a music career.
Speaking to the Boot, Anderson says: "I've always loved the Lord and been very thankful He's allowed me to do what I do. That's a pretty good message for anybody, no matter whether they like the song or not."
Here are part of the words: "Don't forget to thank the teacher and the preacher / For saving your mind and your soul / Don't forget to thank the farmer, the policemen / When your world's going out of control / Don't forget to thank the mothers and the soldiers / For praying and going to war / At the end of the day / Don't forget to thank the Lord,"
Recently, Anderson performed the song at the 2015 Inspirational Country Music Awards.
Andseron released Goldmine, on May 26 via his own record label, Bayou Boys Music. The project includes 13 original songs, including 12 tracks written or co-written by Anderson.
"With Goldmine, I thought, first off, I'm going to take my songs into the studio and make a record like I think it ought to be made, without all those other influences," Anderson says. "I'm more pleased with the sound of this record than I have been in a long time."
