Mark Salling, Glee Actor and Christian Music Artist, Arrested On Child Porn Charges

Mark Salling, best known as Noah "Puck" Puckerman on "Glee," was arrested Tuesday on charges of possession of child pornography, Los Angeles Police Department officer Liliana Preciado said. He was arrested in Sunland, California, a Los Angeles neighborhood just north of Burbank. Bail was set at $20,000.
Police used a battering ram to force entry into Salling's residence Tuesday morning. Authorities say when they knocked on the door, announced their presence and called out Salling's name he did not answer. "Hundreds" of images were found on one of Salling's personal devices during a police search. Salling's computer and other electronic devices were also seized after he refused to share his passwords with authorities. Investigators are now searching for further images on the devices.
Sailing was born in a Christian family and he attended several Christian schools. He became a contemporary Christian music artist, where he performed under the name "Jericho." But his stint as a Christian singer didn't last. Later, he signed up for an agency which eventually led him to play the role of 'Puck' in Glee. He was a main character for four seasons and continued a smaller role right up until the finale of the show earlier in 2015.
Salling, a versatile musician, had been filming a movie called "Adi Shankar's Gods and Secrets," according to the Internet Movie Database. He told the Hollywood Reporter he was also putting together his own TV series.
"It's a musical with original music so we had to record a whole 13-song record for that and write the episodes around the songs," he said.
This isn't Salling's first public scandal. In 2013 he was sued by an ex-girlfriend alleging sexual battery. Salling was ordered to pay the plaintiff a $2.7 million settlement in that case.
