Vertical Church Band Releases Their Cover of Hillsong UNITED/Brooke Fraser's "Soon" Video

There are not too many contemporary worship songs that speak about our longing for heaven. Yet, heaven is indispenssable as far as Jesus is concerned. Jesus spoke about heaven more often than any writer in the New Testament. Vertical Church band are set to rectify this lacuna when they have released a brand new acoustic take of Hillsong UNITED's "Soon."
Two of the group's worship leaders Lauren Smith and Jon Guerra have released an acoustic rendition of the song "Soon" by Hillsong UNITED. The song was written and led by New Zealander and Hillsong's staple writer Brooke Fraser. Taken from 2009's Across the Earth: Tear Down the Walls here are some of the words: "Soon and very soon/My King is coming/Robed in righteousness and crowned with love/When I see Him/I shall be made like Him/Soon and very soon."
Guerra was excited to reintroduce the song to VCB's audience: "This song beautifully captures the very real longing that is central to the life of faith: the longing to be united with the one you love, the one who loves you."
Vertical Church Band is a contemporary Christian and worship band from Chicago, Illinois as part of the Harvest Bible Chapel. The worship band includes Meredith Andrews, Andi Rozier, Kyle Fredricks, Jon Guerra, Tara Stutes, and Rochelle Burlock. They are signed to Provident Label Group and have released three albums through Essential Records: Live Worship from Vertical Church in 2012, Rock Won't Move in 2013 and Church Songs on January 16, 2015.
