Story Behind Darlene Zschech's "Kingdom Come"

Worship is what Darlene Zschech's new Integrity Music release Here I Am Send Me is all about. To be released this coming Friday (March 3), the album is Zschech's first album after her bout with cancer. And it's also her first album she has recorded with her home church HopeUC.
"Worship pushes back the noise of life," explains Zschech. "In that place, we hear Him speak, we're made more like Him, we're satisfied in His presence, given the fruits of the Spirit. Over the years, I've had this sense that maybe this is really all about the Great Commission. Once He has our hearts, then He has our lives... worship has more to do with what comes from our lives, not just our mouths."
One of the outstanding tracks on the album is "Kingdom Come." The song was co-written with Thomas Macken and reflects a year-long teaching theme at Hope Unlimited. "Tom is an unsung genius," says Zschech. "He just wrote a song for Tori Kelley, was nominated for an American Music Award, but leads worship like everyone else... flies home and sets up the chairs at church... it's just beautiful."
Zschech tells the story behind the song. "As a church family at HopeUC, we have sat in this teaching from The Lord's Prayer all year: 'Your Kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven'.
In Hebrews 12 from The Message translation, it says in verses 28-29; "Do you see what we've got? An unshakable kingdom! And do you see how thankful we must be? Not only thankful, but brimming with worship, deeply reverent before God. For God is not an indifferent bystander. He's actively cleaning house, torching all that needs to burn, and he won't quit until it's all cleansed.
God himself is Fire!'
And so, deeply reverent, and completely thankful for all that God has done for us, we declare HIS KINGDOM COME-Who was, and is, and is to come..."
Your Kingdom come / Your will be done on earth as in heaven / Your Kingdom reign from age to age / Both now and forever
Spirit of the Living God / Moving like a rushing wind / Here on earth our hearts alive / We're set apart with holy fire / God fill us now with holy fire
You are here / You are near / You are coming / You are coming
