Lysa TerKeurst’s No. 1 New York Times Bestseller Uninvited surpasses 600,000 units sold

In our highly filtered, unrealistically edited, social-media-driven world, women are feeling the pains of rejection more than ever before. That is why TerKeurst's Uninvited book, study guide, and companion DVD have struck a chord with so many readers across the country. The Uninvited book debuted at No. 1 on the New York Times Advice, How-To, & Miscellaneous bestsellers list, a position it held for six consecutive weeks. Since August it has appeared on the New York Times Bestsellers List for 26 total weeks. Uninvited also debuted at No. 3 on the Publishers Weekly Overall list; No. 1 on The Wall Street Journal Bestseller Nonfiction Combined list; No. 4 on the USA Today Bestselling Books list.
A veteran author in the Christian nonfiction genre, TerKeurst has been impacting women with her words for more than a decade. Her previous bestselling titles include The Best Yes, Unglued, and Made to Crave. Uninvited is poised to be TerKeurst's most popular title to date.
"The passionate response of readers to the message of Uninvited has been amazing to watch," said senior vice president and publisher Brian Hampton. "We are honored to work with an author such as Lysa TerKeurst, who writes to help women in areas of deep struggle and importance."
Uninvited shows a deeper vulnerability from TerKeurst than any of her previous writings. She helps readers embrace God-honoring ways to deal with emotional pain, rely on God's strength through prayer, and start believing that "set apart" does not mean "set aside."
The truth is, rejection affects us all way more than we would like to admit. And too often the hurts of our past are affecting our present more than we realize. Throughout the pages of Uninvited, TerKeurst encourages readers to "live loved"-to finally see themselves the way God does, as someone who deserves to be safe, forever accepted, completely loved, and always invited in.
TerKeurst is set to release another nonfiction trade book with Thomas Nelson in 2018.
