Pure Flix Releases First Look at Biblical Epic Film ‘Samson’ The Movie, Watch Trailer

Faith-based production company Pure Flix Entertainment Company officially announced that it is set to release the Bible classic “Samson” on Feb. 16, 2018 in cinemas nationwide.
“Samson” cast members include Taylor James as Samson along with Rutger Hauer, Billy Zane, Jackson Rathbone, Lindsay Wagner, and Caitlin Leahy. The movie is based on the great biblical story of a champion chosen by God to save Israel.
The character Samson’s immense strength yet brash decisions cause him to become an easy target by the Philistine empire. The betrayal of a cruel prince and a stunning temptress leads to Samson’s capture. After being blinded by his enemies, Samson turns to God one more time and asks that his supernatural strength be returned and that his imprisonment and blindness be turned into a victorious step.
Earlier this year, several stars of "Samson" took to Instagram to share updates about filming, including their makeup and props for battle.

According to Pure Flix, Samson’s journey in the movie will draw attention to “the passion, betrayal, and redemption" which will inspire audiences to "realize that life's failures need not define their future."
"For anyone who ever wondered if they really could do what God called them to do, this film is for them," Pure Flix CEO Michael Scott stated.
"Most people know that Samson had long hair, Delilah cut it off, and that he lost his strength,” director Bruce Macdonald explained. “But there's so much more. Samson was an unwilling hero, and his journey to regain his faith — the whole story — is relevant in 2017."
The production team of the 2014 blockbuster movie “God’s Not Dead” by Pure Flix, including Michael Scott, Elizabeth Travis and Alysoun Wolfe, among others, also worked on the production of “Samson.”
