Tim Tebow on NFL Future 'I'm the Best I've Ever Been'
Think Tim Tebow has played his last down in the NFL? Well, maybe he has, but that doesn't stop Tebow from chasing his dream.
The 2007 Heisman Trophy winner at Florida and 2010 first-round pick for the Denver Broncos has signed on to be a broadcast analyst for ESPN, but that hasn't stopped Tebow from working out and staying in shape in case another opportunity in the NFL comes calling.
"I'm training every day and feel like I'm the best that I've ever been," Tebow told The Tennessean. "I still love it, love playing, talking about it, and I'm just excited about whatever the future holds. Who knows what could happen? But I'm excited about it, though."
Tebow, still only 26 years old, saw his last regular-season action for the New York Jets in 2012, but was assigned to the bench and then released after one season with the team. He did get picked up by the New England Patriots the next preseason but was released in final cuts before the season started.
Accuracy has always been what coaches and GM's say Tebow lacks to be a full-time starting quarterback in the NFL. Tebow fans think he can still get the job done, but it would have to be a team willing to build a system around the dynamic player and take on all of the "Tebow Mania" that would follow him into their town. I personally think he deserves another chance and could really ignite a bad franchise, but we will see if he ever gets the call.
If Tebow does settle into his new career as an analyst sooner then later, he will be great at it. His love for college football and the SEC conference burns bright and college football fans have always been strong supporters of him. He has all the charisma in the world, people just hope he shares his honest opinions more on TV then he did in press conferences as a player, where he was known famously for being "non-quotable."
