#1 Songwriter Jason Clayborn Signs To Tyscot Records

Seasoned recording artist, tunesmith and producer, Jason Clayborn, has returned home to Tyscot Records where he began his career over a dozen years ago as vocalist with the ground-breaking Gospel Hip Hop group, The Righteous Riders. Under the new agreement, Clayborn will bring a number of different solo and group projects to the label. "It is great to be working with Jason again," says Tyscot President, Bryant Scott. "I have witnessed his growth as an artist and songwriter, and believe he is a big part of the future of gospel music."
Clayborn's composition "Better" gave Hezekiah Walker an 18-week run at No. 1 on the Billboard Gospel Airplay chart in 2016, earned a Dove Award and was one of the Ten most played gospel songs of the year according to Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI). Aside from writing other tunes for Hezekiah Walker, Clayborn has also composed songs for VaShawn Mitchell. In addition, he's birthed melodies such as Wes Morgan's Top 20 hit "Get Me Through," Ricky Dillard's "I Survived It" and Lisa Knowles-Smith's current radio single, "Great Big God."
"This is like teaming back up with family," Clayborn exclaims. " Through all of my success over the last 8-9 years as a writer, being nominated for a Grammy® Award, winning a Dove award, it is time for the world to hear the heart of the man who penned all of these songs. What better way to do that than with my Tyscot family. We are going to make music that can be sung on Sunday morning, at the same time keeping the gospel music sound and vibe alive, reaching nations around the world! I've paid my dues and now God says it's my time! I'm ready! Tyscot, let's go!"
