iPad Air 2 Apple Release Date 2014: Specs, News & Rumors
The iPad Air 2 is expected to release from Apple this Fall and people are wanting to know everything they can about the upcoming tablet. The iPad Air changed the tablet market when it was released last year and the iPad Air 2 is expected repeat that feat.
Some are calling the upcoming Apple iPad Air 2 a 'game changer'. Apple's newest tablet is expected to bring the Touch ID interface that the iPhone 5S already boasts to the new iPad Air 2 as well as the A8 processor. This would give the new tablet a good increase in speed which is a high selling point to many users. This could boost processing speeds twice as fast as what the normal iPad Air offers. Also, the iPad Air 2 could be the first to offer support for the 4K ultra-high definition TV.
The Air 2 will feature a 9.7-inch LCD display with the same resolution (2048 x 1536) as the original iPad Air. A report by Designtrends shares the iPad Air 2 will feature a better camera with the second generation tablet and the display equal to the Retina display.
Apple is working to make the new tablet with the best Metal API available. This feature could bring console level graphics to the tablet which could rival the PS4 and Xbox One. Apple wants to make devices that are high quality enough to compete with gamers' systems.
Could this new tablet be one that could pull gamers away from the usual video game formats? We will have to wait and see, but Apple could put out a controller to work with tablets like the iPad Air that could really push themselves out front to gamers and away from the competitors.
The iPad was first of its kind when it released and competitors have been trying to catch up ever since. It appears that Apple is going big for the release of the new iPad Air 2 to show their competitors they are still on top of the tablet mountain.
