Gloria Gaynor's 'Testimony' Debuts in Top 5 on Top Gospel Albums Chart

Best known for her chart breaking disco hit "I Will Survive," GRAMMY® winner Gloria Gaynor returns to the chart this week. Her latest Gospel album Testimony enters Billboard's Top Gospel Albums chart (dated June 22) at No. 4. The LP debuts with 1,000 equivalent albums earned in its first week, ending June 13, according to Nielsen Music.
For this album, Gaynor partnered with GRAMMY®-winning producer Chris Stevens (TobyMac, Mandisa) to create a roots gospel collection that relies on Gaynor's songwriting, a couple of hymns and a stunning interpretation of Dylan's "Man of Peace." Special guests include Yolanda Adams, Jason Crabb, Mike Farris and Bart Millard, as well as a "who's who" of studio musicians.
A gospel album has always been part of Gaynor's musical vision, and Testimony proves to be worth the wait. "It has long been my deep-seated desire to record a gospel album that would uplift, encourage, inspire and even inform," Gaynor tells Billboard. "I trust that through my testimony on this album, I am able to do much of that through these songs. I am so very proud of this album, and excited to share the first single, 'Amazing Grace.'"

5. Only You Can Do
