Anita Faye Partners with Edvisors.com to Provide Scholarship
Multi-talented singer/songwriter Anita Faye has a passion for education and a calling toward philanthropy. She recently had the opportunity to promote both as the co-sponsor for a new $1,000 college scholarship.
To establish the new scholarship, Anita Faye Ministries partnered with Edvisors.com, a trusted source of information and insights for millions of students and families looking to plan and pay for college. The popular singer was thrilled to present the scholarship to 17-year-old student, Christopher McCrary during the 16th Annual Black College Expo event which was held at the Cobb Galleria Center in Atlanta on March 9, 2019.
"Education and philanthropy are my twin passions," Anita explains. "The Scriptures declare, 'From everyone who has been given much, much will be required.' I have been so richly blessed by the Lord, and this provided me with the additional blessing of being able to give back to the next generation."
In addition to her passion for promoting education, Anita is staying busy in 2019 with personal appearances and performances, promoting her current full length CD, Kingdom Journey, which released to retail in September, 2018, from NiNiTunes. The 13-track project which runs the stylistic gamut from smooth jazz and bouncy hip hop to swaying reggae, has featured the radio singles "Cast My Cares" (an intensely personal confession of faith in the midst of trials), "All of the Above" (Anita's collaboration with Grammy Award winner Betty Wright), and "Angels in Heaven (Vegas Strong)," a tribute to the resilient spirit of the people and city of Las Vegas, Nevada, following the tragic mass shooting that rocked that city in October 2017.
With "Cast My Cares," her first radio single from Kingdom Journey, debuting at Number 6 onGospel USA Magazine's Top 30 Independent song chart, Anita found herself in demand for interviews on a number of influential radio shows, online venues and print publications, includingCCM Magazine, Christianity Today, Gospel USA Magazine, the nationally syndicated Bill Martinez Live!, On Faith's Edge podcast, Boston's WEZE AM, Detroit's WHFR FM, and Nashville's WFSK FM, among others.
Anita has also maintained a steady performance schedule, taking the stage at the Gordy Family Event in Beverly Hills, California, Dancing the Truth in Love at the historic Strand Theatre in Boston, Massachusetts, the Church of God in Christ Convocation in St. Louis, Missouri, and the Zappos Corporate Challenge in her home town of Las Vegas, Nevada, among others.
