Mark Tedder Shares the Story Behind "We Call You Jesus"

Newest 7Core Music signing Mark Tedder is slated to release his new single, "We Call You Jesus" on Friday, November 22.
Inspired by the Psalms of the Bible and the Country Music he grew up with, Mark has recorded a collection of songs entitled "Psalms, Sonnets and Meditations'. 'We Call You Jesus' is the 2nd single from that collection. Written with Nashville Songwriter Michael Farren (Lauren Daigle, Michael W Smith, Reba McEntire). It's a worship song inspired by Psalm 23.
Mark shares about the song: "There comes a time in every persons life when desperation kicks in. Maybe you need just a word of hope, that everything's gonna be ok. Perhaps you got the cancer scare, and you need a healer. Maybe you've hit the wall, and you just need to know 'it's not over'. Or you've experienced something in your life that is beyond your control - you need an answer, now!
I pray that "We Call You Jesus" is that song that brings comfort in the doctors office, a knowing that there's a refuge in the storm, peace in the night hours, a hope that it's gonna get better, and that certainty that He's forever faithful'."
Mark has been making music most of his life. From those early years in Arkansas in the southern United States as a 5 year old, banging on the drums, music has always played an important role for him. Looking back in the rear view mirror, Mark and his wife, Carrie have been planet-hopping most of their lives from the age of 20. They started an international worship-equipping mission called Worshiplanet, which saw them, travel to over 40 nations training worship leaders and worship teams. They've lived in the UK, Russia, Czech Republic and China. Their music has opened doors for them in North Korea, Tibet, Mongolia and throughout Northern Africa, Asia and the European Continent. Mark & Carrie have two sons and 7 grandchildren. These days they grow coffee on their farm on the Big Island of Hawaii and continue to write songs and travel the world.
