'How I Met Your Mother' Josh Radnor Starring in Fall 2014 Broadway Play 'Disgraced'
"How I Met Your Mother" star Josh Radnor is moving from the small screen to the live stage for his next acting venture. Radnor will be joining the Broadway play Disgraced.
Disgraced follows a successful Pakistani-American lawyer who is rapidly moving up the corporate ladder while distancing himself from his cultural roots.
Playwright Ayad Akhtar won the 2013 Pulitzer Prize for Drama for Disgraced, and the production is headed to Broadway's Lyceum Theatre this Fall with preview performances will begin September 27 in advance of an October 23 opening.
This is not Radnor's first Broadway experience, he also played in The Graduate. His Disgraced cast will star Hari Dhillon, who starred as Amir in the play's London production; Karen Pittman (Good People), who performed in the play's LCT3/Lincoln Center Theater production in 2012; and Gretchen Mol (The Shape of Things).
Kimberly Senior directed Disgraced in Chicago and at Lincoln Center and she will return to direct the play for its Broadway showing. The Disgraced design team features set design by John Lee Beatty, costume design by Jennifer Von Mayrhauser, lighting design by Ken Posner, and sound design by Jill DuBoff. The production is produced by The Araca Group and Lincoln Center Theater.

Josh Radnor, best known for his role on "How I Met Your Mother" on CBS. He also made his writing and directorial debut with the 2010 comedy drama film Happythankyoumoreplease, for which he won the Sundance Film Festival Audience Award and was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize. In 2012, he wrote, directed and starred in his second film, Liberal Arts, which premiered at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival.
