Big Bang Theory Season 7: It's a wrap for one of the most hilarious comedy drama series
Now for those who have been fans of this comedy series am sure it will be sad to see your favorite characters leave the screen. I do feel though that the season 7 finale comes in a time when it was highly needed. Like every other series, character relationship and also different skirmishes become too familiar to the viewers. You also find the jokes not as funny as they were before and they become redundant. Well this is what I felt with the 6th season and so I understand why making the 7th season as the last one important.
The 6th season did have its good moments though I do feel like it did give a hint that may be it was time to let show's characters take a rest and fade gracefully into the night leaving us with the great memories and experience they offered over the years.
With this sentiments however, I have to say that Big Bang Theory remains one of the most watched comedy on CBS and also very popular. This season did prove that there was more to explore when it came to other characters and it did offer us something new and much more improved from the normal shows we had, with the concentration being on other characters apart from the main five we are used to the show felt new and fresher.
Now the season started with season 6 conflicts being dealt with. There was also Raj's new ability to talk to women without being drunk and Leonard's absence. Now the fact that Leonard was missing in most of the season doesn't mean that he was that missed. It proved that his character isn't all that important and candidly apart from his relationship with Penny he doesn't do much other than make comments to Sheldon's remarks and drive him around. His return didn't do his character much as it does not expand that much beyond the familiar boundaries we are used too. This did make me realize that maybe the writer should have come up with something more for him to do considering the fact that he has always being part of the main cast of the show.
We did see Bernadette get more air play on this season though. She was quite funny and it was good to have someone different who made us laugh for a change. This did keep the 7th season fresh. The season also saw characters being broken down into smaller groups and exploring relationships that were a bit loose in the past for example Sheldon and Howard got closer this season and Sheldon and Penny too seem to have grown closer over the years with Penny viewing Sheldon as a brother. She also seem to be brighter with her exposer to star wars over the years and no longer such a blond.
Well with all said and done the Big Bang Theory still remains one of the most hilarious comedy drama and it is a pity that there will be no more seasons for it.
