Benny DiChiara & Empowered's Powerful Single, "Listen to the Children," Hits No. 1

Singer/songwriter/survivor Benny DiChiara and his band, Empowered, are becoming increasingly familiar with the top of the charts, as their hit song, "Listen to the Children," has risen to No. 1 on Indiegospel.net's Top 20 chart for the month of December 2020. The song's music video also recently debuted at the top of Indiegospel.net's Top 10 video chart.

"The message of 'Listen the the Children' is so imperative and is clearly resonating with people right now," says DiChiara. "We are so grateful for the support of fans and radio, but even more so to God for His abundant blessings throughout this season. As the world gets dialed into the birth of Jesus at Christmastime, I truly feel that God has lined this up for such a time as this. So excited!"
The chart news coincides with the release of the lyric video to the band's powerful new rock interpretation of the Christmas classic, "We Three Kings." The festive video follow-up to the single was produced by Richy Long and Gary Governale of LA Post Group in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
"Richy Long and Gary Governale are our constants when it comes to professionally creating videos that represent God and His excellence," says DiChiara. "Richy and Gary were part of the team that produced the chart-topping 'Listen to the Children' video, which has likely played a large part in the song reaching No. 1. We appreciate them for putting together this awesome lyric video for 'We Three Kings' to share with the world."
Empowered's version of "We Three Kings" is already receiving critical acclaim."I love the powerful new spin Empowered puts on 'We Three Kings,'" says Mikey Howard (Love Journey Music, 7eventh Time Down), who also produced the band's Three Days album. "From the punchy drums and the rocking guitars to the cinematic strings, I feel every beat is pointing listeners to the wonders of Christ!"
"'We Three Kings,' with a beat!" exclaims Dan Gilliland, Owner, KHLL 100.9FM, West Monroe, LA. "Love the use of drums. It's a great remake of a traditional song for the Christmas season."
Brian Tucker, Director of Christian Mix 106, echoes their sentiments, stating, "'We Three Kings' is a timeless classic. Empowered turns the volume up on it and gives it a rockin' new twist!"
Wanting to point people to the wonder and majesty of Jesus Christ this Christmas season, "We Three Kings" has enabled the band to showcase God's strength.
"There is an absolute power in that three kings left their dominions and kingdoms in search of a Savior Child who had more royalty than they did-an eternal royalty," says DiChiara. "We hope that this song touches the souls of those who hear it, and that they draw closer to the King of Kings."
