Watch Yolanda Adams Sing 'Hallelujah' at Joe Biden's COVID-19 Memorial Service

Gospel music veteran Yolanda Adams performed a rousing version of "Hallelujah" (WATCH HERE) at President-elect Joe Biden's COVID Memorial Service on Tuesday night (Jan 19). Biden paid tribute to the more than 400,000 Americans who have died from Covid-19 as many Americans took to social media in collective mourning.
The grim milestone was passed earlier on Tuesday as the latest figures from Johns Hopkins university show that about 401,128 people have now been killed by the virus in the US amid more than 24m cases - both numbers being by far the highest in the world.
"To heal, we must remember," Biden said at the memorial. "It's hard sometimes to remember, but that's how we heal. It's important to do that as a nation."
Vice President-elect Kamala Harris, speaking before him, emphasized a similar note of unity. While Americans have been grieving alone for most of the pandemic, Harris said, "Tonight we grieve, and begin healing, together."
A Detroit nurse, Lori Marie Key, sang "Amazing Grace," noting that the song gives her strength during hard times.
The remembrance ceremony was held at the Lincoln Memorial's reflecting pool, which was lit up with 400 lights in honor of the 400,000 Americans who have died from the virus.
