Darlene Zschech Challenges Us to Help Christians in India Ravaged by COVID-19

As the COVID-19 infections and deaths continue to escalate in India, worship leader and pastor Darlene Zschech calls upon Christians to give generously to those suffering in India. Darlene and her husband Mark are co-founders of Hope Global, a Christian organization that seeks to help those who are in need among the poorer nations. Currently, Hope Global is launching a financial appeal to help the believers and churches ravaged by the pandemic.
"Our hearts break as our brothers and sisters in India are suffering under unimaginable circumstances," Darlene shares. "As covid ravages through the land, leaving death and destruction in its wake. We are supporting our churches in India financially to assist in accessing medication and to assist the many Pastors who have lost family members, husbands, wives ... we THANK YOU for giving generously ... your willingness to help will bring hope and mean the world to those who so desperately need it."

This week India's official count of coronavirus cases surpassed 20 million, nearly doubling in the past three months. The official death count has now passed 220,000. The true figures are believed to be far higher, an apparent reflection of the troubles in the healthcare system. India, with the world's biggest vaccine making capacity, has partially or fully immunised only 9.5% of its 1.35 billion people, according to the government's Co-Win portal.
Hope Global is a faith-based nonprofit founded by Mark and Darlene Zschech bringing HOPE to people through education in countries that have been devastated by genocide, war and poverty.
