Urgent Prayer Request: Hillsong's Global Senior Pastor Brian Houston Faces Sydney's Court Today

Today in Sydney Australia, Hillsong's co-founder and global senior pastor Brian Houston faces the city's criminal court. Houston been charged by the NSW police for allegedly concealing his late father Frank Houston's sexual abuse of children.
During 1965 to 1977, Brian's father, Frank Houston was serving as a leader of the Assemblies of God in New Zealand. During his tenure, Frank Houston abused many young boys in New Zealand and Australia. One victim in Sydney was routinely subjected to sexual abuse from the age of 7 to 12. In 1999, his mother reported the abuse to the church. At the time, Brian Houston was the National President of the denomination Assemblies of God in Australia. Upon hearing the report of the sexual abuse, Brian Houston immediately dismissed his father, forcing Frank Houston to quietly resign from the Sydney Christian Life Centre with a pension.
Recently, Houston has also stepped down from almost all of his positions at the Australia-based megachurch ahead of a looming court date next month. "I've made a decision to step aside from my role on the Hillsong Church boards that oversee the governance of our operations," Mr Houston, 67, wrote in an email sent to congregants Friday (local time) and seen by The Post. "I did this so that these boards can function to their fullest capacity during this season."
Please be in prayer for Houston and the entire court case that God will prevail and his will be carried out.
