Carrie Underwood Honors Naomi Judd with Her Heaven-Focused "See You Again"

Naomi Judd, one half of the country music dynamic duo The Judds, died last Saturday. She was 76. The cause of death has been reported as suicide. Besides her big country hits, the Judds were also known for recording gospel leaning tunes such as "Guardian Angels," "When King Jesus Calls His Children Home," "Love Can Build a Bridge," "I Know Where I'm Going," and many others.
Carrie Underwood while performing at the Stagecoach Festival on Saturday paid tribute to Naomi when she asked the crowd to grab a lighter or phone to create light in memory of those who have died, including Judd.
"This next song goes out to everybody who's ever lost someone that they loved, which is everybody," Underwood told the assembled crowd at her show in Indio, California.
"I feel that's one of the few human experiences that we all share. But just because the people that we love are not here with us does not mean that they are not here with us, and that does not mean that you will not see them again someday. Let's light up this place in memory of all those that we miss. I know all of country music will be lighting something up for Ms. Naomi Judd."
Underwood then launched into her performance of her song "See You Again." The song was written by Underwood, Hillary Lindsey, and David Hodges. It was released as the fourth and final single from Underwood's fourth studio album, Blown Away, on April 15, 2013.
Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
Said goodbye, turned around
And you were gone, gone, gone
Faded into the setting sun
Slipped away
But I won't cry
'Cause I know I'll never be lonely
For you are the stars to me
You are the light I followI will see you again, oh
This is not where it ends
I will carry you with me, oh
'Till I see you again
