Cast List Revealed for "Fast and Furious 7" Movie; Vin Diesel Comments on Filming After Paul Walker's Death, and The Rock has Doubts about His Continuing Role in the Franchise
Filming recently wrapped on the set of "The Fast and the Furious 7," and it is no secret that making the movie without Paul Walker was not an easy task. Walker, who passed away in a single-car crash on November 30, 2013, was not finished shooting all of his scenes for the film. His brothers were substituted in his stead, with CGI-edited faces in order to have Walker in all of the appropriate scenes.
It seems that the rest of the cast had a difficult time making "Fast and Furious 7" after Walker's passing, particularly Vin Diesel. He revealed that it was difficult for him to work with Caleb and Cody Walker, Paul's brothers, while he was attempting to grieve for Paul.
Diesel remembered Walker and his "Fast and Furious" legacy during an interview with "Extra." "There's no one like Paul Walker and there was only one Paul Walker, and it is a very tricky task for an actor to both mourn and be in the process of that stage of mourning and also have to pretend that person is still there," Diesel commented. "It made the experience that much more arduous."
Diesel's comments only confirm the rumors that the actor was causing a ruckus among the cast of the film, acting out of grief for Walker."I am supposed to be in killer mode, but just being in the vehicle that was synonymous with Paul and myself, it was so hard to get through," the actor explains.
Another star of the film, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, has stated that he does not know if he will return to the "Fast and Furious" films after his role in the seventh is completed. Other cast members include Dominic Toretto, Jordana Brewster, and Ludacris.
"The Fast and the Furious 7" comes out in theaters on April 3, 2015.
