Benjamin Hastings Opens Up Regarding His New Song "Feels Like a Blessing"

Benjamin Hastings, known for co-writing and leading Hillsong UNITED's #1 single "So Will I (100 Billion X)," has teamed up with JUDAH to release the powerful "Feels Like a Blessing." The song speaks of how God can use the disappointments of life for his glory.
Hastings opens up about the song. "For a few years now, even before he was my manager, my manger would call me and say 'When are you gonna release your record' and my answer would always be, I have enough songs to release it now but they're all very depressing and I don't wanna only write songs for the cynical, I want to see the beauty in life again and I want songs that reflect that.
Well, 'feels like a blessing' is one of those songs.. a song that stands in the gap, a gap that I feel like I've lived in. So grateful to my buddy JUDAH for being an amazing example of that in both action and art, and I'm so grateful to share this song together. My take away from the last few years - DONT CURSE AT THE LIGHT WHILE YOU LEARN FROM THE DARK."
I was lost, running from the man I'm meant to be
Wandered off and woke up in the belly of the beast
I cursed the rain, but only now the flood has done its thing
It feels like a blessing falling on me
I've been low of dancing, on the brink of unbelief
I let go, cracked the ice and I fell underneath
It feels like a blessing falling on me
Now it feels like the blessings keep falling on me
They keep falling, they keep falling
And it feels like these blessings keep following me
They keep falling, they keep falling
And it feels like these blessings keep following me
