Ian Yates On His New Single: "The Song is a Reminder that God Is & Will Always Be With Us"

Liverpool, UK-based songwriter, singer and worship leader Ian Yates releases his brand new single "Never Alone" today. This song and the previously released single "Home" are both from Yates' Between the Joy and the Sorrow Part 2 album. "Never Alone" is a powerful reminder that regardless of what happens in our lives, God is with us.
Yates writes,"`Never Alone' is a song of reflection about getting lost in the things I've seen and losing site of what is right in front of me. At times over the last few years I felt disappointed and disillusioned with a number of things. As I've wrestled with some of these things I've felt really alone.
"The song is a reminder that God is and will always be with us, it's about living in the tension of feeling alone, but trusting we are never alone. It's about looking back and seeing God's grace, God holding us though the times we thought He'd left us."
Yates' sixth studio album Between the Joy and the Sorrow comes in 2 parts. Part 1 was released on June 24th with part 2 to follow later in the year. The album will also be available in Apple Music's Spatial Audio format and Dolby Atmos on Amazon and Tidal.
Once again Yates has teamed up with producer Trevor Michael (Snow Patrol, Matt Redman, Delirious, Tree 63, Martin Smith) for what 7Core Music believes to be not only a stunning collection of well-crafted songs, but also presented as two exceptional albums that fit together as a single work of art.
Yates is not afraid to ask the big questions many of this generation have found themselves asking over the last few years with a maturity and honesty many of us lack, proving himself to be one of the finest artists and songwriters in the present UK Christian and Gospel music scene.
