Leanna Crawford Opens Up About Her New Video & Single "Simple"

Singer/songwriter Leanna Crawford has released a new song and music video today. "Simple," written by Crawford, Clint Lagerberg and Jason Houser, reminds us of the simplicity of the Gospel.
Crawford writes, " My new song `Simple' is out now. Listening to this song, I hope you're able to 'take a breath' and be reminded of God's incredible yet simple promise over you. He loves you, He loved you, He loves you."
Crawford also talks about the video for the song. "We wrapped filming for this around 2am after a long day of capturing two other music videos (Before I Knew Jesus and How Can You Not) with the best crew. When I first thought of what a music video could look like for this song, a campfire setting seemed perfect.
"I loved campfires growing up and there was and still is something so special to me about gathering around a space like this. I wanted the whole thing to be 'simple'. Not over done, just simple. And here it is. I hope watching this, you'll be reminded that no matter how far away you feel, there's no such thing as too far gone with God."
In her career to date, Leanna Crawford has been writing, touring, and singing with some of the biggest names in the Christian music industry such as Michael W. Smith, Matt Maher, Matthew West, and Jeremy Camp, to name a few. While her music displays the vocal and songwriting talent of a star in CCM, it is her grounded and honest lyrics that make her feel more like a friend, more approachable than untouchable.
"I hope [listeners] feel that I care about them even if I don't know them," says Crawford, "that they would feel loved and encouraged."
