War of Ages Announces 15th Anniversary Edition of "Eternal" Album

War of Ages is excited to announce the upcoming release of the 15th Anniversary Edition of their groundbreaking album Eternal. Set to drop on Facedown Records as the milestone Facedown Records #200, this new edition features all tracks re-recorded, remixed, and remastered, breathing new life into the iconic album that changed the landscape of Christian metalcore. This limited edition will be available in both CD and LP formats and will be see a release date of June 13.
To mark the anniversary, the band has teamed up with renowned artist Dave Quiggle to create new, striking artwork that reflects the evolution of the band and their journey over the past 15 years.
In addition to the reworked tracks, the 15th Anniversary Edition also includes a previously unreleased song, "Prevail". While digging through old session files from the original Eternal recording, the band stumbled upon this hidden gem, which was largely finished in 2010 but never completed. In a surprising twist, none of the band members knew it existed! "Prevail" combines the aggressive, melodic style that defined War of Ages with a fresh twist, blending past and present sounds.
Leroy Hamp, lead vocalist for War of Ages, shares his thoughts on the release:
"In 2010, Eternal revolutionized War of Ages both musically and lyrically. We've always had a melodic sound, but with Eternal, we pushed ourselves to deliver clean choruses without sacrificing the driving aggression that made WOA a staple in the metalcore genre. With this release, we delivered songs like Collapse, Failure, and Eternal. And while going through all the original tracks and session files from our time recording Eternal, we found a hidden song from 2010 that ended up becoming the album's new track Prevail. Most of the song was finished back in 2010, aside from lyrics and a few filler riffs. The best part about this song was none of us knew it existed! It was a ton of fun putting ourselves in a time machine and reconstructing/writing a song that would have fit the 2010 Eternal release. Prevail is everything 2010 WOA had to offer with a little spice of current WOA! Enjoy!"
