Brandon Lake Celebrates as "Hard Fought Hallelujah" Hits #1

Brandon Lake scores his fifth No. 1 on Billboard's Christian Airplay chart as "Hard Fought Hallelujah" ascends a spot to the top of the survey dated May 10. The track debuted at the Hot Christian Songs chart at No. 1 and maintained this position for 21 consecutive weeks, marking Lake's sixth chart-topper on this list .
On Billboard's Hot 100, "Hallelujah" entered the chart at No. 51 and later peaked at No. 40, making it Lake's highest-charting single on this mainstream chart. Meanwhile. on the Digital Song Sales chart, upon release, " Hallelujah" secured the No. 1 spot on the All-Genre Digital Song Sales chart, with 13,000 U.S. sales and 7 million streams in its first week .
"I'm just shocked in the best way," Lake exclaims to Billboard. "This is wild. A remix featuring Jelly Roll was released on February 7, 2025, and the duo performed the song on ABC's American Idol on April 20, 2025. The song also reached No. 18 on New Zealand's RMNZ Hot Singles chart and No. 197 on the Billboard Global 200.
