Benny DiChiara & Empowered to Take the Stage at NOLA Gold Rugby Team's Faith Night

Singer/songwriter/survivor Benny DiChiara and his chart-topping indie Christian Rock band, Empowered, are set to take the stage at the NOLA Gold Rugby team's upcoming NOLA Gold Faith Night in New Orleans on Saturday, May 24 at 6:00 p.m. CT.
NOLA Gold, the city of New Orleans's professional rugby team, will sponsor the event, along with Lifesongs Radio and the New Orleans chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).
"We are so blessed to partner with the ownership of the NOLA Gold Rugby team in New Orleans for their upcoming Faith Night on May 24!" says DiChiara, lead singer and primary songwriter of the band.
"It's even more special because we get to connect with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes on this as well," DiChiara continues. "It's a rare opportunity to reach people for Jesus in the same way that Jesus did it-get into the people. Live where they live and show them Jesus! SO blessed!"
At the NOLA Gold Faith Nght event, to be held following the game between NOLA Gold and the Utah Warriors, fans will hear testimonies from NOLA Gold players and FCA members about how their faith shapes their lives on and off the field.
As seen on CBN's flagship show, The 700 Club, DiChiara will share his powerful testimony of surviving a traumatic brain injury that nearly took his life and his capacity to create music. Instead, he astonished doctors with a rapid and nearly full recovery, and the man who was once at the edge of life is now full of purpose and divine presence.
During their live performance at the event, Empowered will debut "The One," the lead single from their upcoming project, SALT, due out this summer.
"'The One' is based on Luke 15:3-7, where Jesus tells the parable about leaving the 99 to find the lost ONE," says DiChiara. "No matter the circumstances in our lives right now, God is seeking US right now. Press into Him and find His love, mercy, and grace for your life. Just like me, you are the one!"
On the heels of their latest release, Yahweh Nissi, DiChiara and Empowered, who have had seven No. 1 hits on the Indie charts over the last several years, are teaming up once again with Dove Award-winning and Billboard chart-topping singer/songwriter/producer Mikey Howard (Love Journey Music and 7eventh Time Down) to produce SALT.
The NOLA Gold Faith Night event will take place at 6000 Airline Dr., Metairie, LA 70003 at The Shrine on Airline. For more information about the NOLA Gold Faith Night, contact Nicholas Bikah, 504-507-8429 (ext 511) or email at [email protected]. For more information, visit nolagoldrugby.com.
