Madden NFL 15 Release Date: Early Access Only for Xbox Users
Madden NFL 15 will be released on August 26, 2014 in North America and on August 29, 2014 in Europe for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.
But for gamers who can't wait to have a go at the new game, Electronic Arts is offering an exclusive full-game availability to customers of the new EA Access Subscription Service for five days before the official release. The EA Access subscription service is only available to Microsoft's Xbox One, as Sony declined to partner with EA. Subscription to EA Access will cost $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year in the U.S.
Unfortunately, EA will not be releasing a publicly available demo for the game as well even after the official release of Madden NFL 15. This is a major breakaway from their tradition of releasing a publicly available demo two weeks prior to release. EA has been known for releasing demos for their major sports franchises like Madden, Fifa, and NHL. Fans have expressed dismay over the fact that even after downloading the whole game in advance, after 5 days they will have to purchase the game to own it. A spokesperson from EA had this to say, "The difficult decision not to do a demo for Madden was strictly a result of the team's commitment to deliver the highest-quality game possible. We chose to put 100 percent of our development resources toward the full game."
With the release date of Madden NFL 15 approaches, customers can now pre-order the game at all video game retailers such as Gamestop, BestBuy, and Amazon for as low as $59.99.
