JoyFest 2013, At Carowinds Amusement Park, On May 25, To Feature Lecrae, Humble Tip, Bone Hampton an
JoyFest, one of the largest Gospel festivals in the U.S., begins on May 25 at Carowinds Amusement Park in Charlotte, North Carolina, and is set to feature Lecrae, Humble Tip, Bone Hampton, Kirk Franklin, Marvin Sapp, Le'Andria Johnson, Isaac Carree, Fred Hammond & United Tenors and Angie Cleveland, the winner of the JoyFest- Charlotte Talent Competition, in its line-up.
The event will feature a powerhouse line-up of gospel musicians, teaching seminars and access to rides throughout the park, according to the Carowinds website.
The artists are getting excited for the event.
On May 24, Lecrae tweeted, "Can't wait to hit Carowinds tomorrow for Joyfest with my the homiez @humbletip and @BoneHampton! See you there!"
Humble Tip threw out a tweet saying, "@lecrae@BoneHampton Joyfest. Umma bring my shouting shoes and a tambourine."
Bone Hampton also tweeted, "I got the jokes & @lecrae has those lyrics, @djofficialdj has the sounds & @116Beatbreaker has the beats! It's going down at JoyFest!"
The park will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on the day of the event and performances will begin the mid-afternoon at the outdoor Paladium Amphitheatre, according to the JoyFestwebsite. The festival will also feature a Christian retail area in the Paladium Amphitheatre Plaza in which merchandise such as books, jewelry and clothing may be purchased. Camping and hotel accommodations are also available.
The Carowinds festival is one of three JoyFest events this summer. The following two appearances will be on July 13, at Six Flags in Austell, Georgia, and on July 20, at Kings Dominion in Richmond, Virginia. Some additional artists are set to be featured in these performances including, Israel Houghton & New Breed and Sinbad.
