Amy Grant: 'The View' Performance Of New Single 'If I Could See' To Be Aired June 20
Amy Grant is set to perform her new single, 'If I Could See (What The Angels See)' off of her new album, 'How Mercy Looks From Here' on ABC's 'The View' on June 20.
Grant will be making a guest appearance alongside Billy Crystal, who will be talking to 'The View' about the upcoming Disney film 'Monsters University, which will be released on June 21.
Grant's song, 'If I Could See (What The Angels See),' is a soft song that reflects on the idea that we, as human beings, need to be strong in our beliefs despite the fact that we sometimes can't see the truth the way that we would like to. That's where faith comes in, believing without seeing.
On June 18, Grant tweeted, "Looking forward to heading to NYC to join the incredible ladies on @ theviewtv on Thursday, June 20. We will be performing the new single!"
Grant's most recent album, 'How Mercy Looks From Here,' was released on May 14, 2013. The album debuted at No. 1on Billboard's Christian album charts and marker her 16th leading album in the chart's history. It started at No. 12 on the Billboard 200 chart and sold over 26,000 copies.
The new album marked Grant's first full-length album in ten years. It features well-known artists like James Taylor, Carole King, Eric Paslay, Will Hoge and her husband, Vince Gill. One big hit on the new album is a song entitled 'Don't Try So Hard,' featuring James Taylor on vocals.
Grant is currently touring throughout the U.S. to promote her new album. Her next performance will be on June 27 in Kenneth Square Pennsylvania. For many of her upcoming tour appearances she will be joined by Brandon Heath. She will continue to tour until the end of August and is set to begin touring again in the Fall.
