Jackie Chan's Son Jaycee Chan Arrested In A Drug Case: Mother 'Heartbroken' And I Am Ashamed and Sad, Reports Jackie
Jackie Chan's son Jaycee Chan, who is now 32, was arrested recently in a drug related case. As per the state media, he was found guilty when police raided on August 14 in Dongcheng district in Beijing. The actor was found positive when tested for consumption of marijuana. He was accompanied with friend Kai Ko, a 23 old Taiwanese actor.
Jackie Chan has however commented that that "With regards to the incident involving my son Jaycee, I am very angry and shocked." on his personal profile on Sina Weibo. He also mentioned "As a public figure, I am ashamed. As a father, I am very sad and his mother is heartbroken."
"I told Jaycee: if you have done something wrong, you must bear the consequences. As your father, I am willing to face the road ahead with you." adds Jackie. He further reiterated "hoped young people would learn from Jaycee's lesson and avoid drugs."
Jaycee is also suspected to found guilty under the charge of providing a safe place to people to abuse drugs. If he is proved to be guilty, he may face a prison term of 3 years. Jackie expressed "Jaycee and I together express our deep apology to society and the public."
Jackie seemed extremely sad and disappointed with all that has happened and can do nothing but to express apologies to the society at large. Being a high profile public figure in China and an hollywood star, plus an anti-drug brand ambassador of Beijing, it is much difficult for him to do away with his son's mistake.
