The latest trailer for Seventh Son was released online, as well as a new poster.
Check the trailer below.
Seventh Son is a fantasy film starring Jeff Bridges, Julianne Moore, and Ben Barnes. The film is a loose adaptation of the novel The Spook's Apprentice, which is also known as The Last Apprentice: Revenge of the Witch which was written by Joseph Delaney. It tells the story of Tom Ward (Ben Barnes) who is the seventh son of a seventh son, which gives him the ability to see ghosts and other supernatural beings. This eventually leads him to the Spook named John Gregory (Jeff Bridges) who has had years of experience fighting these creatures for people who need them to be vanquished. Tom Ward must learn from the Gregory so that one day he'll be a Spook as well.
The film also stars Alicia Vikander, Kit Harington, Djimon Hounsou, Antje Traue, and Olivia Williams.
The film was originally intended to be released on February 22, 2013 but was moved back to October 18, 2013 so that post production could be finished. Legendary Pictures also gave $5 million to the bankrupt VFX house Rhythm and Hues Studios so they could finish post production of the film. It moved again to January 17, 2014 because of Legendary Pictures parting ways with Warner Bros. who were intended to distribute the film. The distribution rights were finally sold to Universal Pictures on August 2013
With all the trouble from post production and losing a distributor, Seventh Son has been on the shelf for more than a year. But judging by the trailer, it seems like it could actually be a fun time in the movies.
Seventh Son is scheduled to be released on February 6, 2015.
