Covert Affairs Season 5 Spoilers, Reveals and Plot: Cast to Remain Unchanged as we Expect Action Packed Season 5
No two things proved that female agents are truly bad ass better than Jame's Cameron's Dark Angel and Alias with Jessica Alba and Jenifer Garner respectively. Considering the great successes these two series' were it only follows that Covert Affairs would be hit. They were right to make this assumption, the USA network show that premiered in July of 2010 and was renewed for a 16 episode fifth season on October 3rd, 2013.
The show is about CIA trainee Annie Walker who is sent to work in the Domestic Protection Division as a field operative. Annie has a guide who is a blind operative who lost his sight in Iraq. In a seeming trend on TV shows Annie's cover is as a Smithsonian Museum employee which is later changed to importer/exporter in season four. The show has received glowing reviews with a Golden Globe award in the bag already and no sign of the show slowing down. It has been really difficult to get information on season five but after the release of the trailer the shows bosses were feeling a little chatty with Entertainment Weekly and were willing to let people in on what to expect in season five. One of the biggest questions fans have been asking is who is behind the Chicago bombings, most theories link to Aleksandre Belenko. The bosses are still not willing to admit that he is the one but they have given hints that he is still firmly in the series for a few more episodes at least. There is also a massive twist expected when it will finally be revealed who Belenko was referring to when he spoke of the target that was missed. The show bosses have intimated that when this information is revealed it will greatly affect the shows plotline and direction.
The cast is expected to remain greatly unchanged in the third season with all major twists and turns occurring in the plot. Covert Affairs has reduced in viewership numbers and is no doubt looking to bring back their glory days with an action packed season five. All we can do is wait and see what will happen.
