Mulaney Spoilers, Reveals, News, Reveals and Review: New Show Coming to Fox, what to Expect in the New Show

Fox is really trying to bring it with the comedies this season. The broadcasting powerhouse is adding the new sitcom Mulaney to its schedule in a bid to lighten thing up further than they seemingly already are. This show shall be another sitcom that has a Saturday Night Live veteran in the lead. It seems like SNL is the ultimate breeding ground for comedians and sitcoms. The show that was originally pitched to NBC, no doubt as a sign of respect to the production house that helped him breakout. NBC was seemingly not impressed and Fox who were waiting in the sidelines snatched it up, ordered six episodes and then ordered a further ten which must be a good sign. In another sign of solidarity Fox offered the show the Prime slot of Saturday 9:30 P.M. Mulaney is set to premier on October 5^th 2014.

The show is loosely based on the comedian's life. In the show John Mulaney plays John Mulaney, an up and coming stand-up comedian living in New York City with his roommates a personal trainer and a personal trainer, the two things in apparent abundance in New York. Mulaney like all people in New York is looking for his big break which seemingly comes in the form of a writing gig for a self centered comedy legend and game show host who hires him to write for him. The job offers our protagonist an opportunity to break into the apparently lucrative world of comedy writing but it comes with its unique challenges.

John Mulaney comes to this show as both creator and lead so he shall portray the character in its best form which is a relief of some sort. The Emmy Award winning writer comedian shall be acting alongside Nasim Pedrad, Seaton Smith, Elliott Gould and Martin Short who plays Lou Cannon, his boss. Considering the time slot this show has been given Fox executives definitely think it is worth our time; we imagine that he will join other SNL alumni who have made it in the sitcom world.
