Red Band Society News, Reveals, Spoilers and Review: New Show Coming to Fox Reveals and Plot what to Expect
So it's been a long time since Scrubs was taken off the air and it seems like we have forgotten that hospital dramas don't always have to feature devastating air crashes and long time cast members leaving for Europe. Fox has decided to bring the fun back to the hospital drama with their new show. The show which is set to premiere on September 17th this year for the Fall-spring TV season which is just a few days away is bound to be a favorite with the fans.
Before this series anyone who mentioned that children in a hospital would be a source of humor would be banded a saddist and ran out of town. However that is exactly what this series is about. Our twelve year old narrator is in a coma and introduces us to his band of friends, other teenage patients with him in the hospital. The hospital becomes the center of their social if not actual lives. Among his unique band of friends is Jordie a 16 year old who crosses into the US illegally to seek medical attention; Leo Roth a charismatic and independent teen; 15 year old Emma Chota Leo's love interest who is in the hospital because of her eating disorder and of course every group of teenagers needs a bad girl who is soft and gooey on the inside but doesn't know it and for the red band society this is Kara Souders a cheerleader who was brought in wit heart failure. The show follows their lives as they come of age as advised and watched over by the staff of the hospital.
This band sounds very pathetic and sad on paper and a lot of people must be wondering where the humor will come in this Breakfast club-ish band. Well with an executive Producer like Steven Spielberg they just can't go wrong. The production team combined has done work on American Horror Story, Glee, The Americans, Falling Skies and Boardwalk Empire so we are in good hands.
