'How I Met Your Mother' Alternate Ending Released Online, Watch It Here (VIDEO)
The popular CBS series"How I Met Your Mother" wrapped up earlier this year (in March) and fans had very mixed reactions about how the final episode went.
Well, now that a few months have passed, an alternate ending to "How I Met Your Mother" has surfaced online. The clip features all of the cast stars: Neil Patrick Harris, Alyson Hannigan, Jason Segel, Cobie Smulders, Josh Radnor, Cristin Milioti, and more.
The clip is official, as it will be included on the "How I Met Your Mother" complete series box set that will be available in stores on September 23. No word on how long the clip will stay online however.
This new ending is completely different from the one that CBS aired. The alternate ending shows Ted rehashing the entirety of the show's journey. He then sees Tracy (the mother) and does "the stupidest, most impossible thing in the world" - he goes up and talks to her. So there is no Robin, no blue french horn, no mysterious death to shock the fans. That was the other way that Ted could have 'met the mother'.
Even though the mother, Cristin Milioti dies in the end and didn't get much face time even throughout the last season, she won over fans. She was even given the starring role in a new series on NBC titled "A to Z" co-starring Ben Feldman ("Mad Men," "The Mindy Project"). "
A to Z" premieres on NBC on Thursday October 2nd at 9:30/8:30c.
So we will get to see more of Milioti as she gets a new leading role to see if she can carry a show on her own. We are pulling for her!
