Daft Punk's Guy Manuel Album Release could mean that the Duo is heading their separate ways? Well, it is just temporary according to reports

Are we hearing this right? The Grammy Award Winner Duo will be going on their separate ways? Are we able to see the faces behind those masks now?

Fret not dear Daft Punk fans as this is not the case. One half of the Duo's member, Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo will be embarking on a solo project, but this does not mean that they are splitting.

This confusing report came from a French magazine, Tsugi. The following quote, which was roughly translated to English, states:

"One half of Daft Punk, Guy-Manuel Homem-Christo, is currently registering a solo album in the near western suburbs of Paris," the publication reports. "Of course, no release date has yet been scheduled, but what is already known is that it will be full of guests on this album vocal solo, including the presence of Charlotte Gainsbourg."

This is not quite new to the duo as they only release album every four to eight years or so. So a solo record could somehow bridge in the gap and definitely is a good idea. In fact, de Homem-Christo has somehow collaborated with a few musicians in the past, producing for other performers and working with Crydamoure Records founder Eric Chedeville under the alias Le Knight Club.

The news has created a stir among fans since we have not heard much from the duo after their Grammy performance and award acceptance last year, so many speculated that they are splitting.

In the meantime, let us wait for Daft Punk's Guy Manuel album release and surely, this record is a good one considering Guy Manuel's songwriting skills.
