The 2014 US Open finals were held Sunday afternoon in New York City at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. Serena Williams was playing for history as she went up against Caroline Wozniacki in the women's singles final.

"It was a pleasure to win my first Grand Slam here and now No. 18," said Williams after the finals match.
Wozniacki spoke affectionately about Williams after the match. "You're an unbelievable champion and an inspiration to me on and off the court," Wozniacki shared, adding, "You definitely owe drinks later."
Serena Williams won her first U.S. Open in 1999 at age 17. She is currently ranked No. 1 in women's singles tennis. The Women's Tennis Association has ranked her World No. 1 in singles on six separate occasions.
