Gotham Season 1 Rumours, Spoilers, Review and Reveals: Jada Pinkett Smith to Play Mob Boss; Fish Mooney
Gotham is a superhero TV series created by Bruno Heller based on DC world's detective James Gordon and the young life of Bob Kane's Bruce Wayne. The series' premier is scheduled for 22nd September 2014. It gives us a sneak peek into the life of young Bruce and Gordon whilst watching the fictional and infamous city Gotham grow into the current ruin we know today. Watching criminals like Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Riddler, Penguin, Joker, Hugo strange, Scarecrow, Harvey Dent and Mr Freeze develop from minor criminals into serious villains that turn out to be the bane to the city today. Discover the very aspect of life that makes them tick hence making them the villains that they are today.
In the Batman trilogy, we are introduced to the sad and damaged billionaire Bruce Wayne whose reason for this is the death of his parents at a tender age. With no one other than his butler Alfred to keep watch of him, young Bruce Wayne develops a darker side that drives him to become the Batman. Strongly believing that with the help of his worst fear he can in fact change Gotham if not the world. Although in the trilogy we are not told much about detective Gordon who in fact played a very key role in Bruce's life as he was one of his trainers.
The story of James Gordon's life although not well covered in the trilogy, is well put in the series Gotham as it best explains what life was like in the streets with corrupt officers and mob bosses roaming and controlling the city. One of the reasons why the series is much anticipated is the presence of the outstanding actress Jada Pinkett Smith as the syndicate mob boss Fish Mooney who is a new addition to the ever expanding DC universe. Spoilers have it that although not soon, the current Batman, Ben Affleck, is expected to make an appearance in the series as both Bruce Wayne and Batman as way of boosting the series' sales.
