Maroon 5 Latest News: Maroon 5 Latest Album 'V' Top Billboards 100
There's no doubt in my mind, Maroon 5 is as strong as ever.
The band has been around for more than a decade and yet, they are not showing any signs of slowing down. The music industry is fast-paced and ever-changing, and such longevity in the business is, indeed, rare. Every time the band releases a new album, you can be sure that it is going to be a hit. The group has just released their latest album "V" and its sales prove that Maroon 5 is still growing strong.
According to BillBoard, "Maroon 5 soars by 165 percent in overall Artist 100 points. Album sales account for 73 percent of the band's total as 'V' bows with 164,000 sold."
The album's lead single "Maps" is greatly contributing to album sales. It is a catchy song, nothing fancy. The guitar work is, of course, excellent. The album focuses on the guitar work, the voice, and the lyrics. The music video for the song "Maps" is also simple. No fancy costumes, no visual effects, and no audio effects.
It does sends a relevant message. The music video starts with Adam Levine rushing through the hospital, looking for the Emergency Room. When he finds it, a girl is there, and the video tells the story of what really happened to the girl. She and Adam is in a relationship. While attending a party, she sees Adam flirting with another girl. She storms out of the party, and is accidentally hit by a car. The doctors tries to save her, but she does not survive.
Other songs in "V" include "Animals," "Sugar," "New Love," "Unkiss Me," "Leaving California," "In Your Pocket," "New Love," "Coming Back For You," "Feelings," and "My Heart is Open." Fans are definitely on a high with Maroon 5's latest album. It is up-to-date, simple, and has similarities to their previous album.
