Happy Halloween from Word Entertainment

Jason Castro and his (now) wife Mandy. That was the evening he proposed by writing on a pumpkin "Marry Me?"
Halloween, just like every other holiday, has its own origins and the opinions of whether or not Christians should celebrate the day are as varied as the types of candy being handed out on October 31st. There seem to be three main schools of thought where those who follow Jesus are concerned regarding Halloween:

Francesca Battistelli's Son Eli in 2012
- It's a day like any other and the enemy doesn't "own" it so there is nothing wrong with letting your kids dress up and go around the neighborhood and get candy. It's all good, clean fun.
- The origins of the holiday were pagan so celebrating it now doesn't fall within the comfort zone. Church fall festivals are acceptable alternatives.
- It's a pagan holiday so celebrating it in any way is worshiping the devil. Participating in church festivals held on or around the 31st is akin to saying that following Jesus means you're missing something so those are off the table too.

The "real" stories about the meaning and history of Halloween and whether or not Christians can participate are too numerous to count. These are some of the best ...

Popular Christian artists have wayed in with their thoughts on Halloween as well.
For these Word Entertainment artists, it's pretty obvious that they believe that Halloween, like any other day or event, is what you make it out to be. Your heart is what will make the day "bad" or "good."
