'Vampire Diaries' Season 6 Star Nina Dobrev Crosses Over to 'The Originals' Season 2 Cast
"The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 returns on the CW in a few weeks and the spin-off show "The Originals" Season 2 premieres the same week.
"The Originals" have revealed that they are bringing over another "Vampire Diaries" cast star in Nina Dobrev. She will be appearing in flashbacks as original doppelgänger Tatia in Episode 5 (Nov 3).
"The Originals" creator Julie Plec explained Dobrev's appearance to E! Online sharing, "There was a character's name introduced a long time ago in season three in association with Klaus and Elijah and how they became vampires and a girl that they both loved a long time ago who was the original doppelganger, Tatia."
You can now add Dobrev to the list of "Vampire Diaries" castmembers to appear on the spinoff including: Michael Trevino, who appeared in two episodes. In January, The Originals stars Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies and Claire Holt also crossed over to Vampire Diaries for the 100th episode.
Dobrev currently stars as Elena Gilbert, and previously played two separate roles, Katherine Pierce and Elena Gilbert on The CW's supernatural drama "The Vampire Diaries".
Stefan on "The Vampire Diaries", played by Paul Wesley, revealed recently that the new season would "reset" the story.
"[The season five finale] definitely establishes new parameters in the environment we'll be shooting in season six," Wesley told TVGuide. "They reset things in a way, and the writers have the ability to now change the circumstances and locations of where the show takes place."
You can tune in to the new season premieres as "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 returns on October 2nd and "The Originals" Season 2 on October 6th on The CW.
